Porsche 934 1976 Euro GT Winner 1:64 - Minichamps

Porsche 934 won almost every competition it enters, and here is one of the winning car for the 1976 European GT. Minichamps is doing great with this car, even though the scale is only 1:64, they manage to do every little details nicely and perfectly. I just hope the price will be cheaper. Proud owner of this model out of 5040 pieces that has been made!

Greenlight new series, the Zine Machines will feature cars that were once the head line of magazines. The Shelby GT500 concept first capture my attention when it appeared in the movie I Am Legend starring Will Smith. And here it is, the exact replica of the movie. Greenlight could have include this in their Hollywood series line up as the movie car for I Am Legend.

Minichamps is currently one of the best 1:64 producer, even brands like Kyosho and Autoart have to take their hats off to salute the amazing details of the 1:64 Minichamps lineups.

Everything from the lamps to the wheels are nicely made, even the interior is well painted. I can't show much of the interior here due to the limitation of my old camera. Enjoy the pics, and also the comparisons with Kyosho SLR below :)

Ken is in the Block! This car has been flooding Malaysia's Hot Wheels market, and yet, some collectors are still looking for it. Many collectors will buy multiple units of this, it just looks too good to be left hanging for too long.

This is the first time I saw Ken Block using this livery, quite nice :) A good wheel swap is needed!

Just for your information, this car made its debut at 1992, which is 19 years ago. 19 years passed and we're still talking about this car, comparing it to the likes of Bugatti Veyron. That itself prove that this is one of the greatest supercar ever made.

I had to line up for 3 hours to get these models.

This is the Mustang built during the era where Muscle cars were struggling to survive, and it might had just kept Mustang alive. The 87 Ford Mustang main rivals are not the Camaro, or any other American brands, it was the Japanese cars that made sales harder for the Muscles.

Ford Mustang did survive, but in my opinion this is not the car that save Ford, it's not that pretty, and look nothing like a Muscle car. This design will continue until 2004, where the new concept take over how modern Mustang should look like.

Best of Muscle by Matchbox, and the car featured is the Ford Mustang GT Concept. I get this from Singapore, it's not sold locally. Although it cost more than basic cars, the only difference is the extra box provided, and also the extra RM7.

Another M2 added to my collection, seldom buy them because they only produce classic muscle cars. M2 Machine's cars are quite detailed, most of their cars have openable hood, doors and also plastic head lamps.

The 59 Cadillac is one of the most famous car in the 60's, most of the movies of the 60's have this car, one of the best car ever made!

This is the first Racing series that I bought this year, it's quite cool to complete the Racing series because of the interesting livery/tempo, but I don't have the urge to do that. Found this at Tesco today, I'm not sure but I think this is new in the Tesco mini cars line up. Accurate casting and nice details, not misalignment of painted details. A good value for money!

Nissan GT-R35 1:64 - Kyosho Vs Tomica Limited

Kyosho just released the Nissan GT-R35 recently, although many brands are making this car, not many has really nailed it. The closest competitor for this Kyosho model is from Tomica. I'm going to compare both of this car here!

Tomica Limited on the left, Kyosho on the right.

Lets compare the front first.

Tomica Limited version seems taller, and a little rougher finishing. Extra details on the front grill of the Kyosho's GTR.

Next is the back of the Godzilla.

Rough finishing at the spoiler of the Tomica, and painted lamp. On the other hand, Kyosho version has the brake indicator painted at the spoiler, and plastic lamp. No number plate for the Kyosho though.

Now the side:

If you notice the larger gap of line at the rear part of the Tomica, it doesnt make the car looks good. The wheels of the Kyosho looks better too.

Lastly, the spoiler. Tomica version is accurate for having the bar at the centre of the spoiler but that's all it. Bad paint job and rough tooling is not that appealing.

So that's all for the comparison guys! Kyosho wins hands down! Although the market price of Kyosho is much higher compared to Tomica Limited, but both of the original retail price is almost the same. Both brands are great, just Kyosho is better :)

Although many other brands are making this car, and making it well, but Kyosho make it at top quality. Everything from the paint, lights, window frames and wheels.

A car that nobody talks about, but everybody know about it, and almost everybody has it in their collection. The New Beetle was built to continue the legacy of the Classic Beetle.
This is the 1:64 version from Kyosho, although the details are very good, but nothing to shout about as we've seen many other brands making quite good quality Beetle.

The car that were made legend by Mark Donohue, this livery was the trademark for the AMC Javelin. This is the 1:64 scaled 1971 Mark Donohue AMC Javelin AMX by Greenlight, very rare now, the price won't be cheap.

If you look closely, you will notice the excellent details in this car. The interior is equipped with roll cage and "window net" ( you know what it is). This car also come with a free garage tool - a yellow cabinet. Two thumbs up!

Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR 1:64 - Kyosho

Everything is okay for this Viper SRT10 ACR, made by Kyosho. However I don't like how they made the plastic part for the head light. Rough work.

The American Muscle Series by Kyosho is quite rare, I managed to get this Dodge after a few try, but still failed to land a Mustang.

1973 Honda Civic RS 1:64 - Kyosho

This is the first generation Civic, RS version, which can be said as the Type R version of that era.

The classic cars in the Kyosho Honda line up are much better than their modern cousins. For a car this size, the details are amazing! Just see the chromed grill, lamps, wheels, etc. Be amazed.

I was trying to get this for quite some time, and yes, it's now in my cupboard. As for this mode, you will not get a plastic rear lamp due to the small size, so painted lamp would be a better choice. It doesn't turn out bad, the painting was quite precise.

Honda Integra R 1:64 - Kyosho

One of the Rising Sun nation legend, Honda Integra Type R or know as Acura Integra Type R in North America. However, I don't like how Kyosho made this model. Something just doesn't seems right. Cheap look and rough plastic finishing. This car could be better.

Porsche 911 Speedster 1:64 - Kyosho

Too many variations for the 911, and this Speedster version was built in 1989 as the last variation for this body design.

I just love the way Kyosho build this diecast model,unlike some other models that I owned, the plastic lights in this 911 are fitted nicely without any noticeable gap, fine details quality.

Those who loves rally racing would have known this car, it won the World Rally Championship from 1974 to 1976, and would have gone on to win more had not internal politics within Fiat group occurred.

Kyosho, as usual, provide one of the best 1:64 version of the Lancia Stratos HF, 1978 San Remo Rally Winner.
